Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, Champion Brewing Company decided to release a limited run bottle series. Each label spotlights a fantastical scene that reflects the character of the beer within. But where are we generating our ideas from and how is Watermark executing each label?

THE PROCESS BEHIND THE LABEL:

1. Inspiration. As artists, we utilize our education in art history to reference the styles that might relate to the concept that Champion brings forward.

We’re excited to announce the ‘label’ design for the new wine growlers from Michael Shaps Wineworks! The ‘Mon Bidon’ growlers (french for “My Canteen”) have been featured in the Daily Progress and are now available for purchase in the newly renovated tasting room at Michael Shaps/Wineworks.

While the screen-printed growler design remains consistent with the minimal & elegant Michael Shaps brand (check it out here!);

We often receive requests from parents asking if their children can come by to check out what we do to see if it’s something they are interested in, or we will get calls from students that have take a different track and think they might want to switch to design. Honey Glow is an eco-conscious business located in Maryland that offers natural, earth friendly products ranging from lotions, skin salves, lip balms, and candles. Many of their products are based on natural ingredients from their own honeybees! They approached Watermark in late 2012, hoping for a refreshed brand, starting with the logo and label design! We ecstatically, said yes.
