Honey Glow is an eco-conscious business located in Maryland that offers natural, earth friendly products ranging from lotions, skin salves, lip balms, and candles. Many of their products are based on natural ingredients from their own honeybees! They approached Watermark in late 2012, hoping for a refreshed brand, starting with the logo and label design! We ecstatically, said yes.

OUR STEPS FOR A REFRESH:

1. Understanding who they are!

A brand can evolve over time due to a number of factors; often the need to stay relevant in the market and times; but changes in ownership can also drive change. South Street Brewery is one of Charlottesville, Virginia’s oldest craft breweries. The original owners’ aesthetic was consistent with the older brick building it is housed in, with original wood beams and floors, and a darker, cozy atmosphere. When they approached us with the idea of going to market with their beer and needing package/label design,

We were so excited to hear recently that Lowe’s, Walmart and True Value had decided to pick up the Look Before You Pump Campaign – concepted by OPEI (The Outdoor Power Equipment Institute) with Four Leaf  PR and designed by Watermark.

The quick message? When you pull up to a gasoline filling station, you may start to see some changes (a new kind of  fuel is being offered in some states).

We believe designing what you love can only improve the quality of the design and we love local #vawine and #vacraftbeer here at Watermark.

As the craft beer industry explodes, we have had fun playing a part in what some of these brands look like. This is especially a concern at shelf, when you are competing against shelf upon shelf of other loud illustrations and designs – each cool in their own right.
